I have been taking my cars to Tito and Mike since moving to L.A. back in 1992. I have sent MANY friends to Atlantic Tire for Auto repairs knowing that I was sending them to one of the Best Repair shops in L.A. There are now about 15 of my friends who all go to Tito & Mike. They deliver the Most important things in Auto Repair;
HONESTY & QUALITY WORK. Its also done in a timely manner at a reasonable price.
Take your car here and don't give it another thought. Rating: 5 out of 5.

This was my first time going to Atlantic Tire and Auto. It was recommended to me by my wife who remembered she used to go there with her vehicles years ago. Being a bit of a skeptic on my wife's knowledge of mechanics.. I must admit in my less than flattering occasional chauvinistic attitude, I figured no way.. BUT being a good husband decided to at least call and see if they could get me in today.
"Yes, not a problem, bring it on down."
Upon my arrival I remembered seeing this place countless times on Fairfax and took note that they are ALWAYS packed with cars.
Tito, the owner was there to great me.
Now of course, like Murphy's law the horrific sounding fan belt squeaking that just would not let up wasnt making that noise! So friggin typical right!??
But.. we were able to hear it ever so slightly.. enough for Tito to make a guess at what it was.
I gave him the keys and he said he would call me when they figured it out and before they did any work. Sounded reasonable to me.
This was at 8:15 am. They close @ 2pm on Saturdays.
At 1pm I called him. He apologized, said he was so busy, and said it seemed to him to be the belt tensioner as he suspected and I told him to go ahead and fix it.
He said come down around 2:15.

Now.. a little back story....

I have brought this truck to three separate mechanics becasue of this noise. None of them knew what it was.. OR could fix it. I have had the belt replaced three different times. I was told it could be ..blah blah blah.. estimated cost $4-$500. I decided to live with the noise since it was at that point intermittent at best.
When it got too much to bare, I had to make a move.

At 2:05 my wife drove me to pick up my truck.
It was finished.
Part: 82.95
Labor: 80.00
Hard to beat that price, right!?

Started her up. Quiet and purring.
Drove it home.
No Noise. NONE!
Done, and done right.
Guess who is going back to this honest and clearly professional place!?

Clearly my wife is so much smarter than me! Rating: 5 out of 5.
